Traditionally snow, carols, turkey and Christmas trees prominently in the festive image, and indeed they do in South Africa.

Imagine that, it's December 25th at 5 am morning. Despite your best efforts to have kept them asleep, children have already opened the presents left by Santa in the bags placed in the end of their bed.

Indeed it will be cold, because they are on the first disc of the day in an attempt to locate the first of their five large animals. Later, friends have decided to experience the thrill of a safari elephant riding through the bush on the back of this magnificent animal, before returning to camp for their meal on Christmas day - probably Turkey with all the trimmings. There will be pirates and tawdry, party poppers and jokes.

Then the sun sinks slowly down into umber, ocher and burnt sienna color of the earth, producing a glowing sunset to mark the end of another day.

You resolve that next year you take the foil and angels to the task and the exchange of cold and heat in summer combined with the traditions of Christmas.
